Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Does entering my items on line take a long time and do I have to type? Registering online is fun and quick. You do not have to know how to type because there are drop-down boxes to choose from while entering your items. You will receive an inventory sheet and be able to check your sales during the event.
  2. Do I have to stay during the event to take care of my stuff? No. You are welcome to come during the event and help if you would like. Please see the volunteer schedule and benefits.
  3. How much will it cost for me to participate? There is a $15 fee for every 150 items consigned.
  4. What sizes do you accept? Girls preemie - 16, Juniors, Boy's preemie - size 16, Young Adult Men, and Maternity.
  5. What items will you take? In season (March Event Spring/Summer, September Event Fall/Winter) and up-to-date infant, children, junior and maternity clothing, holiday outfits, shoes, children's furniture, room accessories, strollers, highchairs, baby equipment, riding toys, bedding, feeding items, bows, hats, gymnastics and dancewear, books, videos, toys, games, play and sports equipment, and car seats no older than 5 years (toys must have batteries). 8. How do I hang pants on a hanger? Pant/Skirt hangers are preferred on pants, skirts, shorts, etc. Otherwise, safety pin the waistband of the pants or shorts to the top of the hanger. When hung this way all of the pant can be seen with out removing it from the hanger.
  9. How do I hang sets? Hang the shirt on the hanger, and the shorts or pants on the back. You can safety pin the waistband to the cross bar of the hanger. This puts the weight of the pants on the hanger and not the shirt.
  10. Are jeans considered seasonal? No, children wear pants year around.
  11. Can I bring short sleeve shirts to the fall/winter event? Yes, we live in Mississippi and will probably be wearing short sleeves until Thanksgiving.
  12. Will you take all my items? It is often easy to miss a spot or tear when you are getting lots of items ready at home. Please don?t be offended if we ask you to take back some of your items. We will be screening items as to maintain the quality of the event.
  13. What if I am not sure how to price the items? We suggest that you price items 50-70% off of retail value. It is also good to consider ?What would I be willing to pay??
  14. How do I secure small pieces and parts to toys and equipment? Place them in a resealable storage bag and tape it closed. You can tape or safety pin the bag to the item. Please write your consignor number and what item the parts go to on the bag. (just in case they are separated)
  15. Should I iron my clothes? Wrinkled clothes do not sell! Please do what is necessary to make your clothes look clean and nice. Remember, the better they look, the more likely they are to sell!
  16. Should I assemble my baby bed? Yes. Assembled beds and other furniture sell better when they can be seen.
  17. How can I come to the presale? The presales are for volunteers and consignors. Join the fun and shop early.
  18. How can I shop the half-price presale? It depends on how you volunteer, so find out more about how you can help.
  19. Can I volunteer even if I am not a consignor? Yes, at the Columbus event. See the volunteer schedule to pick a date and time. You must have a Consignor Account to volunteer at the Tupelo event.
  20. Can I bring my children to the event? Children are allowed, but not encouraged at drop off and the volunteer/consignor presale. We recommend that you bring a paper with your child's measurements on it and a tape measure.
  21. How do I earn the higher percentages? Consignors can earn more by referrals. (2-4 referrals earn an additional 5% and 5+ referrals earn an additional 10% — referrals have to consign and bring at least 10 acceptable items)
  22. Do I have to enter ALL my items at one time? No, you have the option of saving your work for later.
  23. What if I want my unsold items back? After entering items in our system you will have the option to mark all items for donation, no donation or specify certain items for donation.
  24. What if I am unsure if I want to donate an item or not? If you are not sure if you want to donate an item, please choose "no donate". We do not sort items marked for donation. If you mark "no donate" and change your mind, you can always donate it when you come to pick up, or ALL items that are not picked up WILL BE donated.
  25. I have a family-friendly business. Can I advertise it at the event? Yes. Please see our vendor information page to learn how you can get your business information into the hands of your target market.
  26. Can a friend pick up my items? Yes and No. We will release your items to a friend with a signed note from you. This note must include your name, consignor number, and the name of the person picking up the items. However, we will only give checks to spouses (if we have their name and they have ID) or the consignor. We will mail your check on Monday if a friend picks up your items.
